Running Yahoo Messenger For Vista In Xp

yahooonxp.pngYahoo had recently released a preview version of the Yahoo messenger for Vista. This version of Yahoo messenger was exclusively made for Vista. But here’s a trick to get this thing working on Windows XP. Just follow the below steps in order to do so:

  • Download the .zip file from any of the below links
  • Once downloaded, unzip the contents to a folder.
  • Launch the “dotnetfx3setup.exe” to install Netframework 3
  • Once you finish installing, just launch “Yahoo.Messenger.YmApp.exe”
  • Now you can login with your yahoo id.
